About My Studio

As a mother of five, I know what it’s like to juggle music lessons and practicing on top of other extra curricular and family activities. It is not for the faint of heart...especially when kids are sometimes less than excited to practice...or just downright against it.

That’s where I come in.

My goal is to help make music an enriching part of your life...not something that dominates it. At each lesson, I give you and your child clear practice instructions each week so you know WHAT and HOW to practice. I also try to do whatever I can to keep your child motivated and dial in to the things they love about the violin, while still having high expectations of practicing and skill mastery. (There’s no getting around the fact that you have to practice…five days a week is my minimum, but I do everything I can to make it “easy” and hopefully fun). My hope is that your child’s involvement with the violin and (music in general) will enrich their life and the lives of those around them.

I have a small private violin studio at my home in Draper, Utah.

Lessons

Students have a weekly private lesson every week except the week of group class. Group class includes informal “show and tell” performances, non-boring music history, theory, music appreciation, games, and group playing.

Studio Concerts

  1. Fiddle Concert in the Fall
  2. Christmas Concert at a local rest home/care center
  3. Solo Recital in the Spring

Book Recitals

When your student masters all the songs in a Suzuki book it is a BIG DEAL, and we want to celebrate the heck out of their accomplishment! When they are ready, they will give a private recital to showcase all of their hard work. These recitals are typically held in your home.

Additional Performance Opportunities

As a registered Suzuki teacher, my students are invited to participate in the annual Utah area Suzuki graduation recitals. Music Federation competition is encouraged, but not required.

All recitals and group classes are included in your monthly tuition.
